(This game is an experimental project, I am trying to gain a better understanding of Unity by creating mini-projects like this. This is by far not the best work I can produce, I'd like to just keep uploading these small projects to watch my progression over time. Any feedback is much appreciated! )

This was so good, great story, great pacing, great gameplay, it kept me on my toes throughout.
I gotta say, this is so completely different after Obscured by Clouds and it does not really play like a mere experiment, it’s a fully formed, super cool horror game.
My constructive feedback: some typos and text layout issues and my character’s width made movements a little slower at times but none of that hindered me from enjoying the heck out of this game.
Mild spoilers:
The way how you created a clear storyline was so good and that moment with the camera was absolutely genius because by not seeing and only hearing what’s happening, it was so much scarier because for a hot second I thought it was happening behind me and not on the recording. Gorgeous.
UPDATE! I’m looking to release an update fixing the issue with the notes being difficult to find at times. I also noticed there is a glitch with the shelve. Hopefully I can get these fixed today.
love your game thank you :):):)
Hey Hydra! Awesome video, really appreciate you recording your experience. There was some instructions within the main menu to explain how to play. The game also glitched when you walked into the shelve. There was supposed to be a few different events before you find the axe. I’m going to fix these issues in an update. I’ll also be adding a glow effect to the intractable objects to make it easier. Again thank you so much for playing!
I am not sure what to do next, I found a few notes, But for now I can't seem to be able to progress further, nothing more to interact with.
Hi Max!
Sorry to spam here, just wanted to say I love your works. Can't wait for the next game to come out. Cheers!
Thanks bro, much appreciated! :)
Some notes are hidden within the tool box, lunchbox, one in the mini fridge as well.
I was sure i Tried interacting with everything. Guess not :)
I definitely need to head back in and make some changes, I really appreciate all the early feedback though! Most notable change is adding a glow to the objects.
We gamers are stoopid :) we need help hehe
I gave it a shot and thought the story was compelling, but after awhile I just didn't feel like walking the same area over and over again to look for the notes. Since it seems like a very casual game, you could make things a bit more streamlined and less tedious by having the notes spawn along a more linear path, so the player isn't sent backtracking repeatedly. Also, increasing the glow and adding an obvious outline to the notes might be cool. I'm thinking of the way objects/players are outlined in Left 4 Dead. Additionally, making the glow visible in the dark could be nice.
One other thing I noticed was how easy it is to get caught on objects/doorways when walking. I get that it's supposed to be cluttered and a bit claustrophobic in the aisles, but I think it'd be fine if you allowed the player to kind of slide past obstacles instead of having their movement stopped completely.
All the best!
Hello! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to play and leave a review. I appreciate the honest opinion and I'll look into fixing the issues you have mentioned.
Have a great day!
